MadWolf is participating in the upcoming Give an Hour Gala on May 23, 2012. Doug Wolfire, president of MadWolf Technologies has been, for the last 5 years been serving on the Board of Directors for Give an Hour. Give an Hour (GAH), a national nonprofit organization that provides free mental health services to military personnel and their families, is proud to host its inaugural gala event on May 23, 2012, at the Mandarin Oriental in Washington, D.C. Jean Case, CEO of the Case Foundation, will be our honoree. Jean Case's life's work exemplifies our theme, A Celebration of Service.  In addition we will honor two veterans who have worked to raise awareness about the issues facing military men, women and their families:  Jennifer Crane, OEF Veteran and Justin Constantine, OIF Veteran.  World renowned journalists Cokie & Steve Roberts, will serve as the evening's Masters of Ceremony.  Musical guest is Jason Isbell.          Often we hear from clients in a state of panic about some recently manifested computer glitch and frequently there is a tone of doom and paranoia to their call: “It was working fine and all of a sudden everything is locked up, deleted and gone, I must have a virus or I’ve been hacked!” As trained network and security professionals we will be the first ones to say that networks are hacked, viruses do exist and malware is definitely out there.       But we use a theory called “Horses Not Zebras” which goes like this: If you are asleep one night and you hear the sound of hooves beating past your window, in most parts of the world you can assume it is the sound of horses and not zebras. Cloud Commander The Cloud Commander (CC) is envisioned to assist in Planning and Migration of business systems to Cloud environments, and then as a life-cycle system continuing to Monitor and Manage Cloud applications and performance by providing Quality of Service (QoS) operations across all commercial Cloud environments.  The reporting features of the QoS will allow clients to balance their usage requirements, and effectively report on application and provider SLA metrics, possibly allowing for cost recovery.  CC will essentially allow clients to know what they are paying for.
