MadWolf Technologies is proud to be participating in the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) Gala event, Dare2DreamGala. This event will help raise funds for young people from low-income communities to build business skills and talents.
Since 1987, NFTE has reached over 100,000 young people and trained over 3,200 Certified Entrepreneurship Teachers in 45 states and 16 countries. NFTE programs teach entrepreneurship using an exciting, experiential curriculum--How to Start and Operate a Small Business. There is also an on-line curriculum, BizTech 2.0. It is interactive and can be used in conjunction with the textbook or independently. BizCamp is a 2-week, intensive summer program for students ages 13 to 18 who are interested in entrepreneurship.
Doug Wolfire spent an afternoon this spring at the Student Business Expo here in Washington, D.C. Tables were setup for students and their businesses. Doug circulated at the event and spoke to many of the young entrepreneurs. He stated that it was interesting listening to the students talk about their products and services they provide. Students from middle school, high school and college were a part of this Expo. Two of the companies, Smith Sweet Sensation and BIB (BringITBack), won the 2004 Entrepreneur Award. Both companies are from the Washington, D.C. area.
Steve Manotti Founder and President says, :“Our program transforms street smarts into business smarts.”
