On May 4, 2005, MadWolf Technologies traveled to Braselton, Georgia, for the CRSA (Co-operative Retirement Services of America) Annual Conference. CRSA was formed to meet housing, health and service needs of the expanding senior population. Their annual conference is a time for vendors to display and meet with the executive directors of each community.
MWT president Doug Wolfire, director of operations Roz Gompers and media director Karl Yanofsky made this two-day trip to Georgia. The conference was held at the Château Élan Winery and Resort in their open pavilion. MWT's booth had demos running of projects that MWT had completed—one being the Brandermill Woods's website. Brandermill Woods is a CRSA property in Midlothian, Virginia. MWT graphic designer Janis Neville worked on the designing and developing the website along with MWT systems engineer Ron Kanagy.
As a vendor, MWT was asked by CRSA coordinator Cheryl Eccard to bring a giveaway prize. MWT gave away an iPod Shuffle, plus MWT mini-coasters, letter openers and hats. The best prize was a box of cigars. The three MWT participants seeing a circle of gentlemen smoking cigars and wearing MWT hats.
Everyone at the conference was very friendly and seemed interested in MWT services. Doug Wolfire spent time talking with CRSA director of IT Chuck Jones, discussing IT solutions. The three MWT participants talked with many different people that night, and were happy that we were vendors at this valuable conference.
We are looking forward to doing business with these communities in the near future. The MWT participants left the tradeshow on the afternoon of May 5 with a positive feeling regarding MWT’s first out-of-state trade show.
