One of the more visible programs of the Hitachi Foundation is its Yoshiyama Awards Program. Annually, this program honors ten high school seniors in the United States on the basis of their exemplary community service activities.

MadWolf Technologies designed, developed and currently supports a web-based system that manages the entire process from registering participants, collecting nominations, processing reviews to awarding winners. This system runs entirely on IBM's Domino platform and is controlled from client side Lotus Notes databases.
