The World Bank Group: IEG |
|
The World Bank Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) (formerly the Operations and Evaluation Department) is an independent unit within the World Bank that reports directly
to the Bank's Board of Executive Directors. The goals of IEG's
evaluations are to draw lessons from Bank experience and to provide an
objective basis for assessing the results of the Bank's work. IEG
improves Bank work by identifying and disseminating the lessons learned
from experience and by framing recommendations drawn from its
evaluation findings.
MadWolf designed the website to take full advantage of the IEG's rich
content. A search surfaces
thumbnails of recent additions. A “live” document count for the publication series is displayed on the
left navigator of the results page. Additional searching facilities,
summary and metadata content are shown on the third content page.
Other valuable site features include a count of documents accessed,
“Send to Colleague” buttons (either link or PDF of document), re-sort of
search results, and a “SmartBox” widget on the resultant document that
links to other documents of interest, based on configurable site
parameters.
