So, what does this mean in practice for Administrators and owners of these devices? This means that if you are using Windows 7 or 8.1, you will no longer receive feature updates, but will receive security fixes until January 10, 2023 (Windows 7 clients will need to participate in the Extended Security Update program). Users on Windows 8 have already had the support window extended from January 2016 and on January 10, 2022, the sync client will no longer sync to Microsoft 365 services.
