Key points:

  • Timing: Tenant deployments will start in October ad be completed by mid-November.
  • Action: Make sure that you are ready to take advantage of this release.

How this affects you:

When the new service is enabled on your tenant, the Viva Learning service plan (Viva Learning Seeded) will be associated with your organization’s current Microsoft 365 license. This will enable the Viva Learning Teams app, appearing in Microsoft Teams apps list. Viva Learning will be delivered primarily through the Teams app. The Teams app creates a central hub in Microsoft Teams where staff can take advantage of content libraries provided by your organization, by Microsoft, and by external providers.

When Viva Learning enabed on your tenant, the Viva Learning Teams app will be pre-installed into your users’ Teams experience. The basic Viva Learning license is free of charge with your current Microsoft 365 license. The free version of Viva Learning includes the full content from Microsoft Learn and Microsoft 365 Trainings, as well as 125 courses from LinkedIn Learning content.
Viva Learning Premium can be added to your subscription to gain additional admin features and course recommendation capabilities, unlocking integration with the Learning Management System, and third-party content integration.
*Accessing non-Microsoft Viva Learning Premium content may require a separate subscription with the third-party content provider.

Microsoft 365 Trainings will be accessible from Viva Learning and consumed directly within Teams.

What you can do to prepare:
