Microsoft recently announced that Skype for Business (S4B) will be retired on July 31^st, 2021, so now will be the best time to encourage our customers to begin planning their migration to Teams.  This post will answer questions about Teams support for Skype for Business phones or 3PIP phones.

With Teams passing 13 million daily active users, users have been speculating when Skype for Business would be retired.  In order for Microsoft to put the most resources available towards the new Team platform, Microsoft has announced the end of Skype for Business Online.

In the second half of last year, Steve made an announcement during a company-wide meeting that MadWolf as a company would be stepping up it’s security practices.  Enter Multi-factor authentication.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) has already been in use for Ocular Passportal, our password management system for a while.  Now, this week, MadWolf is enabling MFA for N-Central and Connectwise.  Using MFA is not hard to use, but you do need to setup a second level of authentication and with the MadWolf applications currently configured, that generally means the use of a phone app.  Popular apps for managing MFA are Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and Duo Mobile.  These apps are available for both Android and IOS.

In a Microsoft blog posted July 1st, Microsoft announced that it will be bringing to an end one of its most popular partner programs.  Internal Use Rights Software.  The change go into effect July 1, 2020.

Update: Microsoft has decided not to implement proposed changes in partner benefits.!
