Forms Integration With Bookings

Organizations using the Microsoft Bookings app in Teams for virtual visits can now collect information from attendees and be able to securely share it with the staff while maintaining industry specific compliance requirements (such as HIPAA). Microsoft Bookings app in Teams will be integrated with Microsoft 365 Forms to support end to end (Pre-visit) workflows for virtual visits.

Reminder: IE11 Desktop Application Retires In 4 Months

As previously announced in May of 2021, the future of Internet Explorer on Windows 10 is in Microsoft Edge. Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) provides legacy browser support within Microsoft Edge. Because of this, the IE11 desktop application will be retired on June 15, 2022. This means that the IE11 desktop application will no longer be supported and afterwards will redirect to Microsoft Edge if a user tries to access it.

Message Center Email Notification Changes

Beginning in early April 2022, admins within your tenant will no longer receive the Message center weekly digest and major update email notifications by default. Any existing admins who have customized their Message center email preferences will continue to receive these emails, based on their customized preferences, and this update will have no impact. This change will also not affect the opt-in state for email notification of Data Privacy related messages.

Microsoft Office Mobile Is Getting a New Video Creation Feature

Microsoft’s Office Mobile app for iOS and Android is getting a new Video Creation feature later this month, which will allow enterprise users to record up to 90 seconds videos right from their phones. The new video capability will join the existing Quick Captures options in the app, which currently include taking notes, scanning documents, and recording voice notes.

Microsoft is retiring Security Policy Advisor

Alert!  For all organizations that have used Microsoft’s Security Policy Advisor to manage policy settings for Microsoft 365 apps on devices, be aware that this tool will no longer be available after November 8th.   Microsoft Is advising that security administers begin migrating Security Manager Policies to their new Office cloud policy service.
